Sofia is an undergraduate student at Tulane University double majoring in Public Health and Exercise Science. Sofia will be attending Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Master's program studying Disaster Management starting January 2025. She is working on outreach in the biotech community in the greater New Orleans area for Raindance Partners. Sofia has shadowed numerous scientists and physicians and hopes to go into the field of Disaster Management and Epidemiology once she completes her undergraduate and master’s at Tulane. She has an educational background in biology and medicine and is currently studying preventative health and new technological breakthroughs in and outside the classroom.

 

Besides Sofia being a student, she is also the co-founder of the Unite to Light Homelessness Project and Global 5k, a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, a musician, a member of the Delta Delta Delta Epsilon Chi sorority chapter, and was previously on Tulane University’s Rowing Team. She is passionate about advocating for physical and mental health in a well-rounded approach.
